Community Organisations and Clubs

Southbourne Bowls and Social Club
Members club wit bar, snooker table, dance hall, short mat bowling equipment and six all-weather bowling rinks. There are Bingo and quiz nights and the hall is available for hire.

Southbourne Men’s Shed
Newly begun Drop-in-Centre in New Road where men can talk, swap stories, socialise and engage in creative activities. Open for three hours a week initially.

Southbourne Women’s Institute
2pm first Thurs monthly at the Village Hall. A women’s non political, non-sectarian social group.

Trefoil Guild
Guiding & Scouting for adults.

1st Southbourne Sea Scouts, Prinsted
Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers groups meet at the Scout Hut at Prinsted. 

Age Concern
A social meeting place in New Road for the over 60s. Bingo on Tuesdays, Coffee, Lunch and Tea with various activities on Wednesdays and Tai Chi classes on Thursdays. Transport can be provided for those with mobility problems.

Southbourne Lions
A community service organisation, non-political and non-sectarian, who organise a number of fund raising events throughout the year to provide funds for people who live in the local area who are in need. 

Martlett Sword & Morris Men
A folk dance activity group that meet at Southbourne Club.

Dragon Ladies Club
Ladies group, meeting for social activities in the Village Hall.

Girl Guides
Part of the National Guiding Organisation, meeting at the Village Hall.
