We have received notification that WSCC Highways will be making repairs on Thorney Road on the week commencing 20th January. This is due to the ongoing highways flooding issue on Thorney Road, approximately 60m from the junction with the A259. They have previously tried to make these repairs on 2 occasions but due to parked cars, unfortunately they have had to cancel. We have been asked to make you aware that these works will be carried out and to request that residents remove their parked cars from the area highlighted in the map to avoid the withdrawal of the funding for these works.
Most of the works will be carried out during daytime hours (8am until 6pm) by use of a traffic light system, however there will be the requirement for overnight closure on the 20th January between 8pm and 6am.
