Antisocial behaviour is defined as ‘behaviour by a person which causes, or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm or distress to persons not of the same household as the person’ (Antisocial Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014). Sussex Police encourage all incidents of anti-social behaviour to be reported to us.

It is vital that incidences of anti-social behaviour are reported, as this enables the Police to build up a larger picture as to when and where anti-social behaviour is occurring, so that we can put measures in place and respond accordingly. It is important for us to protect and safeguard victims of anti-social behaviour, as well as bring offenders to justice. More information about different types of anti-social behaviour, and the best course of action to take, can be found on our website here – https://www.sussex.police.uk/advice/advice-and-information/asb/asb/antisocial-behaviour/. Crimestoppers also has a page about anti-social behaviour https://crimestoppers-uk.org/keeping-safe/community-family/antisocial-behaviour, and support services include ASB Help – ASB Help | Advice & support for Victims of Anti-Social Behaviour, and Victim Support – Home – Victim Support.

We would like to thank the public for their support on the matter whilst we continue to work alongside partner agencies to tackle anti-social behaviour and make our communities safer. Anti-social behaviour can easily be reported to Sussex Police on our website via this form – https://www.sussex.police.uk/ro/report/asb/asb-v3/report-antisocial-behaviour/ or alternatively through phoning 101. In an emergency, always call 999.
